Could someone change 'ibn' to 'bin' in the title?

[edit]

The common convention in Arabic is when both the person's name and the father's name is given, to use 'bin' (e.g. Faisal bin Hamad, that is, Faisal, son of Hamad), but when a person is referred to by the patronymic, to use 'ibn' (e.g. Ibn Hamad, that is, the son of Hamad). I do not know how to edit the title; I would appreciate if someone more knowledgeable could do this. Mideastwhoswho (talk) 12:52, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'd reckon the patronymic uses "Bin" not more rarely than "Ibn". If I understand it correctly, "ibn" is the Arabic spelling, whereas "bin" is the Arabic pronounciation... СЛУЖБА (talk) 20:43, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
