This is not quite accurate as written. The original 1986 Taurus was the DN5 platform. D186 refers to a later update (mid 90s IIRC). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.0.186.90 (talk) 17:07, 1 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with this IP user. The D186 is the 4th generation Taurus and Sable manufactured from October 1999 to October 2006, which was replaced by the Volvo-based D3 in 2004. The fact that no one has noticed this nor has cared to, but instead favor harassing me and other well meaning users, in other ways is unfortunate.

This should've been corrected along time ago, but what instead happened is one of the most misleading articles being retained and copied as factual. This is a major reason why this site Wikipedia, has next to no credibility. A greater focus is made on politics, versus actual quality content.

The article title and content needs to be corrected to DN5 or DN-5. The Continental and original Windstar although related to DN5, are separate platform names of FN9 and WIN88. Both generations of the Continental from 1987-94 and 1994-2002 (FN74), are on the FN9. FN74 was a heavily revised FN9. That's all I'm going to say.Carmaker1 (talk) 22:06, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
