First header

[edit]

I decided to added three sections to this page: the Anti Earth Union Group/AUEG, the Titans, and the Kabala/Karraba/Kalaba, because so many of the UC gundam spaceship articles make reference to this particular show. It just seemed like the right place to add these groups. TomStar81 01:16, 17 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Added a description of the Axis Zeon. TomStar81 01:55, 18 Oct 2004 (UTC)

  • After reviewing the AEUG Section I decided to re-instate it as its own page. All links to the AEUG pages that redirect here have been corrected to reflect the change. TomStar81 09:16, 21 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted the section saying Zeta Gundam was inspired by George Orwell's 1984. Everything said was unsubstantiated speculation, and the rest was plot synopsis that was unrelated to the original claim. The Titans are a generic fascistic force that were more likely inspired by Nazi Germany and there was nothing mentioned to indicate there is a link specifically to 1984. User:Mczapp

Restructured

[edit]

I restructured the page. All the information pertinent to the Karaba, the AEUG and the Titans was removed, and the proper sections in the Factions page have been expanded. The cyber-newtype information has been moved to the Technology section.

The synopsis is now properly essential, more information can be entered on the Neo Zeon Movement page.

Ideally, this page should contain only production informations about the series, with a short summary. All the events, factions, units and content should go to the relevant UC page (see the index at the bottom). --IgorTrieste 15:12, 17 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed the terrible grammar in this article. It should be much more readable now. Although I removed a few extraneous details that interrupted the flow of the article, I didn't change anything factual or critical to understanding. --Formerly Wu 11:17, 30 May 2006

Where should we note that Zeta Gundam is also the only Gundam which powers-up by consuming the souls of the dead? Idyll M 21:39, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Double Zeta did this as well. JoeD80 (talk) 01:53, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Zeta Gundam aired in Latin America??

[edit]

Sorry, but the only Gundam series aired in Latin America was Gundam Wing (Cartoon Network). Animax (Latin America) NEVER has broadcasted any gundam series. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 200.30.110.139 (talk) 20:04, 12 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Region 2 DVD Info

[edit]

I did some cleanup of this section to improve clarity, but I am concerned about the accuracy of the statements regarding the improved subtitles in the later release. I just purchased the new release and will revisit this section later and update it as necessary. It is a shame that no fansubs exist for Gundam 0079 or Zeta, they are sorely missed.

Distinctive Features

[edit]

This makes it sound as if Zeta and Seed are the only series with three-sided conflicts; is there some reason not to include Wing's Gundams, White Fang, and the Earth Nation as a similar conflict? Also it states Zeta is the only series with a full length sequel, what about Seed Destiny? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ban Bridges (talkcontribs) 21:18, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Spoiler Alert

[edit]

I came to this page looking for information on this series only to find out that the main character gets put in a wheelchair down the line. As I haven't watched the show yet, this might not be a big deal, but this definitely seems like something we should either flag or omit entirely. If someone doesn't explain it soon, I will remove it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Polakbob (talkcontribs) 03:51, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia does not warn readers about spoilers. See WP:SPOILER for more details. --Farix (Talk) 12:17, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Episode List???

[edit]

Do you think an episode list should be written for this Article?--AKIRA70 (talk) 01:05, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another error

[edit]

Animax didn't air the series in Latin America, at least not yet, so I'll correct the final paragraph of the introduction text. Please, for next time, research more carefully before adding something. Otherwise, more mistakes will come to the article.--200.71.160.128 (talk) 06:25, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

edit war, and utter lack of any attempt to resolve this here

[edit]

I have fully protected this page in order to halt the edit war. You should have been discussing these issues here instead of repeatedly reverting each other. Please do so now. Beeblebrox (talk) 23:44, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My stand point is clear, the English word is Zeta, and the link introduced by the highly dynamic IP is only a redirect to Zeta. It is not adhering to WP:NAME and is only creating overly linked and redirect pages. I have stated this in the edit summary for many times, and the IP is only coming back every few days to wait for the IP change anyway. —Preceding signed comment added by MythSearchertalk 07:22, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Given history with the Brazilian IP, it pointless to even attempt a discussion as they never participate, but persist with their edits. —Farix (t | c) 13:52, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
True, very true. It is very obvious that 1 single person is trying to force an edit that is against consensus, with no backbone supporting reason(even given the fact that s/he said original Japanese title, the title is already rendered in full Japanese after the English title) and using a redirect link which redirects to Zeta which further supports the original version of this article as the correct one. I see no point in saying this situation as an edit war, it is just one disruptive editor who tried to create havoc. I appreciate the protection though, it stops the IP from editing the article. —Preceding signed comment added by MythSearchertalk 17:44, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

cohesion

[edit]

Holyshit the plot section of this article makes very little sense. It might need to be rewriten entirely. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.18.15.142 (talk) 17:40, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Plot Summary errors

[edit]

The plot summary has numerous errors; is this based on the movies (which I’ll admit I haven’t seen)? If not there are several things that are wrong here:

  • It states Kamille is traveling to Green Noa to meet his parents; he is already living on Green Noa at the start of the series
  • I don’t recall Char ever revealing the usage of G3 at the colony in Dakar although I could be wrong
  • The comments as to the Earth Federation ruling the Titans actions to be illegal and backing them AEUG in hunting down Jamitov all never happened
  • The summary states the Titans turn to Axis to form an alliance after losing the support of the Earth Federation; they never lose the support of the Earth Federation and said scene occurs BEFORE Dakar
