This article makes no mention of the Institute of Andean Biology founded by Carlos Monge in 1934, for starters. Uncle G (talk) 19:07, 23 January 2008 (UTC) I've found several web pages that relate to effects on the human body and have added links and information to the article.Jkro0229 (talk) 23:11, 2 May 2012 (UTC) I added more to the article talking about oxygen to the lungs. This gives a better understanding to the readers about the reasons for altitude sicknesses.Jkro0229 (talk) 00:02, 3 May 2012 (UTC) I have some questions about whether other studies are being done with high altitude related affects. Are the studies all relative to human testing or does this include animals like rams and mountain goats? Also, how long has it been since high altitude research first started, recent as in 10 years or in the distant past? Just curious because it would help give an idea on how much research has actually been put into the subject or if its just a new topic of interest.Jkro0229 (talk) 00:15, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
