HONG NO LONGER HAS "STRONG CONSERVATIVE CHARACTERISTICS".

[edit]

STOP SAYING SO. YOU MUSTN'T EVEN BE KOREAN. 1.235.177.36 (talk) 05:42, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop lying. He is still considered a conservative figure within the PPP.--Storm598 (talk) 06:08, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What I'm saying is true... just ask a random Korean that currently lives in Korea. Or check other wikis about Hong.

I'm a South Korean. And Wiki can't be the basis. In addition, it is only nonsense to say that he is centre-right because he is supported by "Angry young men".--Storm598 (talk) 22:10, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It's a completely different matter for him to be supported by young people and for his political position to be center-right. Is there any evidence that young people in South Korea are politically more moderate than sampallyuk people?? --Storm598 (talk) 22:13, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Populism?

[edit]

Hello,

The evidence for him having "populistic characteristics" was a single column written by an unauthorized writer and was written to attack Hong. Not an actual source.

His impression as a "strong conservative, populistic figure" is now gone here in Korea. Please do not use a column as a source, or anything from 2017.

Even without the fact that the evidence was invalid, referring to him as a "right wing populist" is first not the case and second not neutrally descripted.

I suggest describing him as a conservative instead. Also, I suggest adding more information about his life before politics, there's a lot known about it including his story as a prosecutor.

I suggest checking other wikis about him, maybe on namuwiki(It's in Korean though).

Thanks, have a nice weekend. 1.235.177.36 (talk) 13:52, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hong is a centrist.

[edit]

He had to act like a strong one due to political situations but he was the one who proposed the apartment half-price bill, the Nationality Act...etc. He's actually a centrist. 1.235.177.36 (talk) 10:21, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Cut the crap. You should not write your OR on the wiki. Just by looking at the extreme social conservative personality he sees, you can see that he is never a "centrist".--Storm598 (talk) 10:28, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

- Oh yeah? Why is a column provided as an evidence? This is stupid, no one does that shit.

Why is his life as a prosecutor not included in "Early Life"?

[edit]

It's a major part of his life... 1.235.177.36 (talk) 10:25, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

We should add a Prosecutorial career section.

[edit]

Kinda also related to his political career. 1.235.177.36 (talk) 02:23, 21 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
