Move request

Resolved

Who supports a move to JTG (wrestler)? -- iMatthew T.C. 11:36, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Honestly, if 20% of his fans call him Jayson Paul still, that would actually counter your argument that the name is completely worth the change. How many who know Hulk Hogan still refer to him as Terry Bollea, certainly not 20%, its more like less that 1%, and Hulk Hogan even refers to himself as Hulk Hogan. My point is, I'm not so sure JTG would even refer to himself as JTG normally, he would probably refer to himself under his real name, and if JTG left WWE, again, he wouldn't be able to use the name JTG wrestling anywhere else except WWE, since the name is copyrighted with WWE like all the other stage names that they come up with. You can keep your descision if you like, but I'm just clarifying my point that it may be way too early in his career for him to be stuck with a single stage name. — Moe ε 19:33, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Jayson Paul

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Jayson Paul's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

File:Jay-TG.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]
An image used in this article, File:Jay-TG.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?
Speedy deletions at commons tend to take longer than they do on Wikipedia, so there is no rush to respond. If you feel the deletion can be contested then please do so (commons:COM:SPEEDY has further information). Otherwise consider finding a replacement image before deletion occurs.

File:WWE JTG 3.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

New Is Not Fake

[edit]

In a shock live event match on January 24, 2012, WWE Champion CM Punk was to defeat JTG easily in a squash match but ended up with a torn muscle and thus had to lose the match and drop the Championship to JTG. JTG is now set to defend the title against Dolph Ziggler at the 2012 Royal Rumble PPV. The billed height of JTG

[edit]

I had added the billed height from JTG's profile on WWE.com. Note that this isn't necessarily the absolute height of this individual. But since 6'2" is referenced, that's what needs to stay until other references are found that show a different billed height. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 17:20, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Note that the current shown 5'9", apparently based on an editor's personal experience, is unreferenced, and the reference shown next to it doesn't match it. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 17:31, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Added to BLP Noticeboard

[edit]

I have added a notice to the noticeboard about what I conclude are ongoing disruptive edits to this article by @Thisnothing123:. The changing of height/weight to unreferenced values, the removal of JTG's image and the removal of other content without explanation are together an ongoing issue that needs to be remedied.
