@Roman Spinner: My understanding was that as this page lists disambiguation topics for Joe Walsh, the primary topic for that title should be at the top of the page (possibly in a "most commonly refers to" section rather than above Joseph or Joe Walsh may refer to), even though it is not the primary topic for Joseph Walsh. @力: If the main title header of this dab page was Joe Walsh (disambiguation) or if Joseph Walsh redirected to the singer-songwriter Joe Walsh and this page's header was Joseph Walsh (disambiguation), then of course we should have Joe Walsh listed at the top to denote the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. However, the singer-songwriter is not known to the public as "Joseph Walsh" and no one would search for his entry by typing "Joseph Walsh".

Those who do search for his entry don't need the dab page and can access him directly by simply typing "Joe Walsh". On the other hand, users searching for anyone else named "Joe Walsh", would type "Joe Walsh", arrive at the singer-songwriter's entry and click the hatnote link "For other people, see Joseph Walsh (disambiguation)" to access all the other men named "Joe Walsh".

Thus, since all the men listed on this dab page were initially named "Joseph", but only some of them have used "Joe" as their WP:COMMONNAME, it seems counterintuitive to list Joe Walsh as the primary topic for all notables named both "Joe Walsh" and "Joseph Walsh" when the singer-songwriter's common name is not "Joseph Walsh". —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 23:27, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Roman Spinner: But Joe Walsh (disambiguation) does redirect here, and the only topics with >1k pageviews per month are the Eagles musician (100k), the former Illinois politician (12k), and Welch (5k, and needs to stay in "See also"). @力: Nevertheless, Joe Walsh (disambiguation) is only a redirect to the dab page, while the dab page's main title header is still Joseph Walsh. The singer-songwriter Joe Walsh stands on his own and no one would search for him by typing Joe Walsh (disambiguation) — his positioning on the Joseph Walsh dab is for the sake of completeness of all the names, not because he would be primarily sought on that page, unlike all the sportsmen named "Joe Walsh" who would be primarily sought on the dab page. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 23:51, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
