Jones Beach Tower

[edit]

The tower has a new spire/top now. It's not green anymore. Even if this isn't mentioned in the article, the picture of the tower will still need to be changed (the picture is of the old spire/top). --69.116.77.241 (talk) 22:51, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Acquisition of Babylon land

[edit]

The article should cover the tactics used to acquire the Babylon land and the guarantee that the Wantagh Parkway would be free. Rich Farmbrough, 11:55, 12 September 2012 (UTC).[reply]

This article needs a LOT of work!

[edit]

Much of the information is outdated, additional information needs to be added (e.g., the impact of Hurricane Sandy), and the article requires thorough copyediting and provision of appropriate citations. - Froid 16:26, 21 November 2012 (UTC)

Jones Beach was also mentioned in the song "One Love" by Nas. I think that should be in the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.91.111.165 (talk) 13:45, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Energy & Nature Center + Zip line +

[edit]

Hi the golf course was initially flooded by hurricane sandy and then the land was Repurposed .. it appears the omnipotent admins don't like factual information added to articles and like to remove long standing legit info. If anyone can help, Something should be mentioned about the fairly new zip line which occupies the land where the pitch & putt golf course used to be, and the free Educational Energy & Nature center at West End 2 which was also recently completely renovated. There is NO copyright on that FREE public museum brochure and a FREE public state built facility is not a promotion or copyright in any way.. There is also many other important features of this National Register of Historical Places Landmark State Park not mentioned that should be.. see this: https://parks.ny.gov/documents/inside-our-agency/JonesBeachHistoricStructuresandCulturalLandscapeReport.pdf

not a big deal if you can't (considering this info has been missing for years) - but it's a disservice to the public not having complete factual information available here. thanks for your time. Jb1929 (talk) 19:47, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
