how can apply for kbc Princesanayal (talk) 06:21, 8 September 2013 (UTC) There are two version of Kon Hoil marathi karodpati first version hosted by Sachin Khedekar and latest version (2019) hosted by Naganath Manjule (Marathi super duper Hit Film "Sairat" Director ) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.132.205.74 (talk) 06:32, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

Reference to TRP wars necessary?

Even the much hyped debut show of Aamir Khan, Satyamev Jayate could not emerge as the winner in TRP race and even cannot beat Kaun Banega Crorepati. - citing an Entertainment News article.

It should be known by regular contributors - not everything mentioned in news websites qualifies as 'News'. Besides, this is only a speculation - this year's season of KBC is yet to start, so no valid comparison exists. The website may have their own reasons to write such speculations but Wikipedia is not the place for it. Jam2k (talk) 11:03, 20 July 2012 (UTC)

Spiliting the Section of the list of Hotseat Contestants of KBC3

Although I already spilt the section, i just wanted to know what other people think about this action. Anyway, I beleive it should be separated because although it is related to the KBC article it still needs its own section.... think about it, if this show continues for about a year or two or even more, the whole list will interfere with the other necessary info about the KBC article. So in this case, I have already started a new article for this list. If you disagree, please have your say in this discussion. Thank You :) --Bhavesh Chauhan 01:45, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Good to see people are contributing

It's nice to see that people are contributing to the "hotseats contestants of KBC3" section that I had started a few days ago - Please keep the format the same for all days and contestants. Anyway, keep up the contributions and edits to expand this article, and share your knowledge to the whole world for free using Wikipedia :D --Bhavesh Chauhan 02:53, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Need to remove the commercial links from external links. I am going to remove it and report to any admin. Kittu 09:00, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

This Article Needs Images

Some images in this KBC article would sure be nice to the viewers of this article. I suggest adding the logo, a picture of the old host Amitabh Bachchan and an image of Shahrukh Khan hosting the show. Images of the Crorepati winner such as Harshwardhan Navathe, Brajesh Dubey and Ravi Saini are also preferred. Thank You! :D --Bhavesh Chauhan 17:27, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

The images of Winners of 1 Crore must be shown on the link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vikramdharia (talkcontribs) 10:12, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

Numbers

A small thing but it is confusing. Why are the numbers listed beyond 5 digits, divided by 2 commata and later 3? For instance "Rs. 2,00,00,000" should be "Rs. 20,000,000". Same goes for the other numbers and the numbers listed in the List of Hotseat Contestants of KBC3 article. Could these be fixed? Or ist that how they are supposed to be listed according to Indian currency (Rupee)? They are confusing. --Çiddlər 12:36, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

Never mind, I looked it up. Sorry! --Çiddlər 08:35, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
Where did you look this up? It is rather confusing. I don't know whether Rs. 1,60,000 is meant to mean 1,600,000 or 160,000. -86.146.46.45
It's meant to mean 160,000 rupees. just ignore the commas. Bhavesh.Chauhan 03:51, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

Valid point. Digit grouping in numbers urgently needs correction to comply with English Wikipedia standard. kashmiri (talk) 00:19, 27 October 2011 (UTC)

no need

There is no need to seperate the list of KBC hotseats names from this article. Kittu 05:32, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

KBC 1 and 2

I think the page is shapingup quite nicely, but I'd like to point out that KBC 1 and KBC 2 both have been more or less ignored in the article. KBC 1 and 2 deserve much more in the article than the passing mention they've got right now. SRK's inclusion in the show has changed a lot of things in the show, yes, but the first two series should also be adequately covered. xC | 06:57, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

I don't really understand what you mean, but i do have a feeling that KBC 1 and 2 have somewhat been ignored. Unfortunately, Wikipedia wasn't around when KBC 1 boradcasted. Not many KBC watchers of viewers contributed to this wikipedia article with information about KBC 1 and 2 because:
  • 1) Wikipedia wasn't as popular to the Internet population back then.
  • 2) Media and Internet coverage for KBC 1 and KBC 2 was rather weak 4-7 years ago and some of the information that was' KBC 1/2-related' aren't avaliable anymore.
I have gave it my best at expanding the article with all my knowledge of KBC, but I also rely on other editors to contribute to the article with KBC 1/2 information, but not many people are motivated and I don't think there's much to say really. Anyway, I don't believe I have added much about SRK - "inclusion in the show has changed a lot of things in the show, yes," - in fact, the majority of the article talks about the rules, lifelines and notable celebrity guests. there's hardly anything describing the changes of the show on SRK's arrival so I don't quite understand what you mean by adequatly covering information about KBC 1 and 2 since there isn't much to write about them as the information has already been written. --Bhavesh.Chauhan 00:29, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:KBC jaaved jaffrey.jpg

Ratings/Reception/Viewership

This article and its information for the 2010 show should be placed somewhere on the page. Also any information about previous series so we can have some more information on this page.--Cooly123 23:33, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

Prize money has changed

Since the prize money was changed from 2 Crore rupee to 1 Crore, I think the last line of the introductory article saying the "prize money remained the same" should be changed, cause it gives an impression that the prize money is still 2 Crore without the jackpot question. --Tarif from Bangladesh (talk) 15:27, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Ended?

Since the noting of guests says they have appeared in the "Grand Finale", is that an assumption that the show has been cancelled?

GameGuy95 (talk) 16:45, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

No, the show hasn't ended, only the season have ended. Four seasons have been completed and the fifth season will reportedly start some time in 2011.[1] - Managerarc talk 17:16, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

New format for 2013, etc?

Should I go ahead and edit in the new lifelines and the triple Fastest Finger First playoff as well as the other little details as seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQTKK29TewE retched (talk) 23:06, 9 September 2016 (UTC)

Yes, but please cite a reliable published source. Youtube videos are generally not used as source.- Managerarc talk 15:11, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
That might be a bit hard to find since the show isn't in production anymore and the webpages with the rules aren't available. I'll look into it though. retched (talk) 10:48, 16 September 2016 (UTC)

Remove the questions?

Should the game-winning questions be removed from the page? There is already a page which contains the winners of the game. Is having the questions on the page (currently cluttered mind you) a bit extra? retched (talk) 07:37, 24 January 2017 (UTC)

Words used are not neutral

The words used in the first sentence of Season 9: 2017 section like 'famous' and 'megastar' do not seem neutral to me. In addition, the sentence also does not have any citation. I think the sentence should be removed. Am I correct? --Susmitauri (talk) 07:29, 22 June 2017 (UTC)

--Susmitauri Amitabh is megastar: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/topic/Megastar-Amitabh-Bachchan, http://www.ndtv.com/topic/megastar-amitabh-bachchan Hemant (talk) 20:54, 30 June 2017 (UTC)

Its fair to replace it with "the actor". Capitals00 (talk) 12:22, 1 July 2017 (UTC)
I understand that Amitabh is a megastar in India, but even then all persons are referred into a neutral sense. Also that paragraph that describes Season 9 is missing a LOT of information especially with regards to the format changes, the Jackpot rule, and the clock format. Can someone possibly go back and take a better crack at it? I might be able to but I don't know enough Hindi (read: "I don't know ANY Hindi") to understand the rules explanations. retched (talk) 09:34, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
I've gone ahead and fixed the statement in question removing the "megastar" and other similar statements. While he may be referred to as a megastar and such in media, that is still subjective and is up for debate (even if a hundred articles are written about him and refer to him as the same, it can still be disputed). One of Wikipedia's policies is WP:NPOV. retched (talk) 21:05, 14 September 2017 (UTC)

"Expert Advice" and "Three Wise Men"

Is it safe to say that these lifelines were effectively the same starting in Season 4? retched (talk) 15:26, 20 September 2017 (UTC)

Anamika Majumdar win? Is that a top prize?

So on Kaun Banega Crorepati, the show introduced an optional jackpot. The game is still 15 questions but now there is an optional 16th question to play should a person climb that far up. However, in order to qualify, the player must forfeit their ability to walk away and any lifelines after the 10th question. For the purposes of argument, if a person chooses not to play the 16th question or walks away from the 16th, do we still list this person on this list of top-prize winners? I argue YES because a person can optionally play for the Jackpot 16th question and it's risk there. This is different than the US Jackpot questions because the rising jackpot there replaced the default $1,000,000 value and was the 15th question in the game. I already know we don't list "near-winners" on this list, so there's also that. Looking forward to discussions. retched (talk) 22:14, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
