Renaming

[edit]

Kbachkun dambong-veng just means long staff techniques but it's not a separate style. The longstaff is one of several weapons in the recreation of Angkor's weapon-based art. The sword-fighting form could also be called kbachkun dao but this is like having separate articles for sword and stick fighting in krabi krabong. I suggest renaming this article Kbackun boraan so it includes the whole style and not just stick-fighting. Morinae (talk) 09:18, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You can create a Kbachkun Boran article if you like, but I suggest you not renaming this article. Kbachkun Dambong-veng is a popular martial art taught often by itself and not with relating weapons and hand-to-hand combat. May I refer you to the Ninjutsu article. It includes several sub-disciplines, Kenjutsu and Sojutsu for example which can be learned separately or in conjunction with the rest of Ninjutsu. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pwordisony (talkcontribs)
I've renamed it to 'Kbach kun dambong veng' and none of these words should be capitlized as they are not proper nouns. See the hapkido and krabi krabong article as an example of other martial arts name that aren't capitlized (unless at the beginning of a sentenced). --Dara (talk) 17:59, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
