Flags

[edit]

Removed the RAN & RNZN naval ensigns. Not meant to be rude, but these were not in use until the 1960s, after the ships had ceased service with these navies. The Indian ensign was used. Wiki practice is to use correct flags for the period (although some oppose use of flags at all); RAN and RNZN ships (and RCN) used the white ensign until 1967 and 1968, respectively. The change was made to reflect the greater political independence of these Commonwealth nations. It would therefore be correct to use the white ensign, if desired. There's more info here. Ships Aircraft

[edit]

As far as I am aware while the Swordfish Mark 1 float plane could have been carried by this cruiser class the aircraft were limited to heavier ships. The Walrus was used by the RAN and Seafox was used by the RNZN pre war. I would be interested to hear about any use known of the Swordfish float plane variants on light cruisers.
