Building on Sections

[edit]

I have added the section "Contributions". Under this section I added one of Dr. Williams major contributions, which continues to be a current issue in Psychology. There is more that can be added under contributions. Dr. Williams is known for her work with violence against women and her influence in the criminal justice system. Her important work in these areas should be considered in this section.

Relevance of the Material

[edit]

This is in reference to the banner stating that this article may not meet Wikipedia's notability guideline for academics. Dr. Linda Meyer Williams is a Professor at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Her research has made significant impact specifically in Psychology and broadly in the Criminal Justice System. Her research is still a currently issue in the field of Memory. Dr. Williams has received rewards for her research and service in her area of expertise. She has published several books and journal articles. She has been on Editorial Boards of several Journals, and the board of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children.

These points show that Dr. Williams meets more than one of the criteria for academic notability. Hence, this banner should be removed.

Notability is measured in the first instance against the WP:GNG which requires in depth coverage in independent sources. Stuartyeates (talk) 01:28, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
