Volume 1

[edit]

Does anyone know how many chapters the volume contains? And its title? Cuttyflam 09:41, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Volumes Reorganization

[edit]

Very good job with the volumes and the chapters, but do we really need the japanese name pf the chapters§? Also I think I'll remove the reference to the characters on the cover. The scheme is taken from Bleach, right? Also added the omake chapters from volume 1 and 3. Someone who knows japanese should add their title, please.Cuttyflam 22:04, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Volume Titles

[edit]

I think that every volumes' title is written in the index page. Unfortunately I can't read and write japanese. If someone knows, please put the titles in the right place. Cuttyflam 12:54, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Were is chapter 58

[edit]

I can't seem to find chapter 58 someone please help me >_< Darklonewolf

It's on the article...~ Hyakurei (talk) 20:17, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chapter 99

[edit]

Isn't the chapter called "Titania falls"? ~ Hyakurei (talk) 20:17, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, chiru (散る) can mean either "to fall" or "to disappear" depending on the context. I opted for the latter, but feel free to change it. Enenth (talk) 20:39, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I'll see how the manga people translate it... ~ Hyakurei (talk) 22:22, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
After reading the chapter, I think "falls" makes more sense that "disappears". So do you mind if I change it? ~ Hyakurei (talk) 15:30, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Not at all, go ahead :) Enenth (talk) 14:18, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Volume 8

[edit]

If you look really closely at the corner of the cover, you can see Sagittarius, Cana, and one of Jose's 'Shade, ghost, things, w/e you call it. I'm just wonder what to list it as. Korikitsune0 (talk) 15:52, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ISBN

[edit]

While doing ISBN conversion use the right tools. [1]

Someone screw up the isbn numbers in the list and please don't to revert to ISBN 10 as ISBN-13 is the newest standard --KrebMarkt 06:09, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Official website

[edit]

In external links, there's a link to the official website. However, this page no longer exists and it supposedly redirects to this page: [2]. However I don't know if this is the page the link is supposed to be referring to so. If anyone who can read japanese could verify this and update the link, that'd be great. --MooNFisH (talk) 10:07, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Back cover volume titles?

[edit]

I noticed on the back covers of the English graphic novels for Fairy Tail that there are headers on top of the descriptions such as in volume 2 they have "The Book of Secrets" and volume 4 is 'S' is for Screwup. My local library has incorporated this into the title in a search and Amazon has done similar things in their search. So should this be included somewhere in the chapters list page and if not, is there a place where such "titles" could go? AngusWOOF (talk) 04:44, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Split into two lists?

[edit]

Since this list is getting longer, I suggest we split it up into two articles: one that covers the first 169 chapters (List of Fairy Tail chapters (1-169)), the other starting with chapter 170 onwards (List of Fairy Tail chapters (170-current). Therefore, we should make this list the List of Fairy Tail manga volumes. Any comments or objections? Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 01:44, 23 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is that because chapters 1-169 is grouped under volumes 1-20? It otherwise does not seem like a logical break as it splits the Edolas storyline. AngusWOOF (talk) 00:08, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Right. So, since we don't want to split the Edolas storyline, which volume is a more logical break? Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 00:14, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It's fine with me. I don't see any other logical storyline breaks, and it's consistent with One Piece volume breakdowns. Any other opinions? AngusWOOF (talk) 14:58, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The individual chapters have been split. Therefore, it is a standalone list. Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 20:43, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

List name

[edit]

Why is the main list called "List of Fairy Tail manga volumes" but the split lists called "List of Fairy Tail chapters (1–126)", etc.? Wouldn't it make more sense to name them by volume to be consistent? E.g. "List of Fairy Tail manga volumes (1-15)", like it currently is on the template? Axem Titanium (talk) 15:58, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Just to clarify, we group the split listings by chapters: List of Fairy Tail chapters (1–126) are the first 15 volumes, List of Fairy Tail chapters (127–257) have the next 15 volumes, and List of Fairy Tail chapters (258–current) have the next 5 volumes and the current chapters. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 16:14, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I understand, but why not just call it "List of Fairy Tail manga volumes (1-15)" instead? There's no need to change the content of the sublists. Axem Titanium (talk) 01:41, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Very good then. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 01:43, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Would you like to do the honors? Axem Titanium (talk) 05:54, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I would. Unless someone objects, I am implementing this change immediately. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 17:37, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Chapter release edit war

[edit]

I'm currently engaged in an edit war with an unregistered user over the release of the latest chapter on this page and two others. For as long as I've seen (in fact, I've contributed the same way), this article has updated chapters as they were unofficially leaked, translated by fans, and released online earlier than their intended airdates. However, it's come to my attention that because fan sites don't typically count as reliable sources, these updates don't pass verifiability guidelines. On top of that, the manga was meant to be on a break last week, yet Crunchyroll (an official licenser and supplier of translated chapters) accidentally released it early and has since removed the chapter. I've tried to settle the dispute on my own by placing the titles and numbers within tags until they are officially released, but the edits continue. So I've come to settle the matter here: should we adhere to Wikipedia guidelines, or does this case warrant an exception and, if the latter, why?
