Surely Shi Ping (politician) merits a spot

[edit]

He lived to 112 years and 241 days. Beestalman (talk) 13:55, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

His age is currently pending by both LongeviQuest and the GRG, once he's fully validated he will be added to the list. Milus331 (talk) 20:36, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see, thank you. Beestalman (talk) 05:15, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
He is now fully validated by the GRG. Milus331 (talk) 22:00, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's excellent, thank you for letting me know. Beestalman (talk) 06:23, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Is eiko Minami still alive?

[edit]

I was checking and read Gerontology wiki (is Eiko minami still alive?) she was born in 1909 she was a dance actress known for the 1926 Japanese film "A Page of Madness", but the strange thing is that English and Japanese Wikipedia mentions nothing about her date of death. If she were still alive she would be the fourth-oldest living person in the world Not sure I doubt if she is still alive https://m.imdb.com/name/nm1272552/ Nicubining (talk) 00:45, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Johnson Parks

[edit]

LongeviQuest has more or less debunked his age. Should he be removed? Avengingbandit 05:28, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. The GRG will likely follow in the upcoming days. Milus331 (talk) 14:41, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

New oldest person...

[edit]

Verified... L1quidm3talz (talk) 19:06, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There is a cemetery in my town with around 2.5k memorials, one of them I found, had an abnormal birthdate and death date. Born in 1753, died in 1878..... 125 years old Jacob F. L1quidm3talz (talk) 19:09, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Abkhaz woman

[edit]

While looking for sources for this, I saw this piece by a now-defunct paper stating that an Abkhaz woman in Russian Georgia died at the age of 139. While looking across, there are other sources covering it at that time. Should she be included? Tavantius (talk) 15:51, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Unverified claims over 130 belong in Longevity myths. DerbyCountyinNZ (Talk Contribs) 19:41, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Margaret Maritz

[edit]

I found this offhand on a BBC article about a South African woman who just celebrated her 118th birthday. They say Mararet Maritz, googling her I found Margaret Maritz more commonly.

Wouldn't she be appropriate for this list? Or does more go into verifying her age? 104.129.207.85 (talk) 04:19, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Older than the oldest fully verified person, therefore belongs in Longevity claims, where she is already listed. DerbyCountyinNZ (Talk Contribs) 04:23, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
