Everest and Chimborazo

[edit]

The reason why I deleted the note was that this article is a list of lists, mostly for navigation. The article contains entries each of which are a list of highest points: the note is not a list of highest points, see what I mean?

I would recommend adding this fact to List of mountains#Seven Summits, instead. The fact is already described at Mount Everest#Comparisons.

This article is definitely for navigation. I came here looking for the point furthest from the earth's center and had a difficult time finding it. That is why I added the note. Disambiguation pages often help explain things so that readers find the things they are looking for. The note I added is not unusual. If there were a List of points on earth furthest from the earth's center it would be linked to this list. Until there is such a list, it is helpful to have the note. -- SamuelWantman 21:18, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and created such a list. -- SamuelWantman 22:33, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
