[edit]This article needs to have information on Evely's theological beliefs that led to his being asked by his Bishop to stop publishing, being denied an imprimatur, etc. Obviously there was a problem with his orthodoxy. I have heard so from other sources too. But I have not read Evely's work myself and cannot remember what the problem is, that was what I came to the article to try to find out. Even aside from his invalid marriage (invalid, because under Church law the clerical state is an impediment to validly receiving the sacrament of Matrimony. A cleric who attempted to marry would therefore be guilty of concubinage) and subsequently being laicized, Evely is a controversial author and the article's description of him is a bit one sidedly positive and needs fact-based elaboration on the reasons for the controversy. --Elizdelphi (talk) 23:52, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
