Christianity?

[edit]

Is he a Christian? Cause he played as President Gerald Fitzhugh in Left Behind: World at War. -Yancyfry — Preceding undated comment added 01:48, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Like how he's an alien "cause" he played one, right, genius? -- 71.102.194.130 05:28, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No. Like how most of the actors/actresses in the Left Behind movies are Christian, guh! -Yancyfry 00:58, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Incomplete filmography

[edit]

There is no mention of his role the 1990 film "El Diablo." Feral Mind (talk) 07:43, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is listed in his television credits because it is a TV-Movie. IndulgentReader (talk) 16:23, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Basketball exploits (or lack of)

[edit]

[1] shows the NBA drafts of the 1950s and Gossett's not listed. Likewise [2] shows that he never played for the Knicks and [3] that he never on a Knick roster. As for whether he played or not for the NYU Violets, I couldn t find anything with an online google search either to confirm or deny the claim Mayumashu (talk) 02:05, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Filmography order

[edit]

I noticed that the order of his film and television appearances are reversed, with film going from earliest to latest, while television goes from latest to earliest. Is there any particular reason for this, or should one of them be switched to match? And given the latter option, which one? -- Mpdimitroff (talk) 12:26, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe somebody should combine both lists and make it sortable Lars T. (talk) 23:41, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
 Done Astronaut (talk) 16:00, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Louis Gossett, Jr. is an actor, not a basketball player.

[edit]

While he clearly has played basketball, a review of his entire output that categorizes him as an "American basketball player" is clearly nonsensical. He is almost solely known for, and makes his living by, acting.

I would love some help with making this change, thank you! I cannot figure out how to edit someone's broad category descriptor within Wikipedia.

Thanks all.

Splitting Proposal

[edit]

I propose that sections Filmography, Television, and Theatre be split into a separate page called Louis Gossett Jr, on screen and stage. This section is large enough to make its own page, plus with the addition of several plays and Video Games. Thank you. Filmman3000 (talk) 18:17, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I will take the liberty to do it now, if any reluctance by any other editor let me know. But it is plenty lengthy. Filmman3000 (talk) 20:34, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
