Mariana (novel)Mariana (Monica Dickens novel) – Other novels, the disambiguation (Dickens novel) would be misleading since Monica Dickens is never referred to by the mononym "Dickens" in reliable sources. In ictu oculi (talk) 19:52, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with the above move

[edit]

I've moved the article to Mariana (Dickens novel), as neither participant seems aware of the relevant guideline WP:BOOKDAB (or at the very least they haven't taken it into account), which recommends additional disambiguation by author's surname only. This method of disambiguation isn't misleading, as it is sufficient to distinguish between novels of the same name. We're not trying to distinguish between authors here, just the works. Additional disambiguation by first name would only be required should two authors with the surname "Dickens" write a novel with the same title. --Rob Sinden (talk) 16:52, 19 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
