The content and sourcing of this article are problematic, especially when it comes to passages like

The rapid growth and high demand for health informatics is stimulating an expansion of educational opportunities with degrees at all levels both in the United States and at international institutions.

Not only is this not saying much, the source is a position paper with the conclusion:

"The number and variety of these opportunities, as well as the knowledge that your work is helping people lead healthier lives, makes health informatics a very rewarding career."

Needless to say, the individual university pages don't qualify either as they're all trying to sell their curricula. (The Huang study looks like a better source.) QVVERTYVS (hm?) 17:26, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Wikicology: I would actually prefer trimming first, then merge + redirect to health informatics if any interesting content remains. WDYT? QVVERTYVS (hm?) 20:54, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No objection. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 22:44, 16 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Qwertyus: Thanks very much for the feedback. These are certainly valid concerns. This is my first attempt at making a Wikipedia article, which is probably obvious. After looking at the health informatics page I think there would definitely be some added value to discussing the degree in general, as well as some of Huang's points on the curriculum. Please allow me a couple days to make some changes to the article. Maybe then we can discuss the next best steps. Thanks again for your patience and understanding.
