Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted because... --JWM83 (talk) 20:16, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

it's been significantly cleaned-up. I used the one file as a template, but I think you jumped the gun a bit on "speedy deletion." No information comes out of the sky. You get it from somewhere and then refine it. Bad form on whomever continues to put up "speedy deletion." This is an architecturally significant bridge. JWM83 (talk)

No apology for the tagging. Copyvio material cannot be posted on WP, even in your userspace or as a template, even for a minute. But very glad you fixed it. Being a bridge lover (my user name is a reference to transporter bridges) it hurt my soul to tag it. I've added the geocoordinates to the new article. Just to note, the text and data at the MassDOT website appears to released as public domain per their disclaimer here. I've attached an attribution note at the bottom of the page, in case this text is used in the article. CactusWriter (talk) 20:43, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not to grind an axe, but the terms of the release to public domain at that site are so some-is-some-isn't vague that there's no way of knowing what is and isn't without asking them about a specific page. It's certainly not the unequivocal release to PD which WP requires. Regards, TRANSPORTERMAN (TALK) 21:06, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It should be merged into the existing article at Memorial Bridge (Massachusetts). - Denimadept (talk) 22:53, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
