Yesterday I did a formal cleanup of the article, including others in Orange County, New York. @Ssilvers: on the other hand thought otherwise, using WP:BRD and brought an administrator immediately into the scene, and I personally feel it was an intimidation tactic, because my contributions had structured the articles according to the standards of larger articles, rather than making them a hodgepodge of information with no structure. I would like to know why formal cleanups and formats are reverted, especially when such information removed may be placed in its own separate article, accordingly. The articles appeared as if they were just "slapped together".--TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 18:33, 3 February 2020 (UTC)

@TheTexasNationalist99: This is a very poor description of the events that transpired. I founded the Hudson Valley WikiProject in 2007, and consequently am watching almost all of the geography-related articles under its purview. I noticed (and in two cases, reverted) your edits long before becoming aware that Ssilvers had also taken issue with your actions – they did not "bring me into the scene." But I feel this is incidental to the main problem, which is that your changes are largely unconstructive. This edit introduced literally dozens of style errors, instances of awkward grammar, and markup inconsistencies. This edit on another page resulted in the unexplained removal of all images and illustrations. WP:BOLD is not an editorial mandate; users making significant changes must still explain and justify their edits. Finally, I'm not seeing any evidence that you actually have been trying to find new, suitable locations for content being whittled down. Newburgh, New York (town) has a lot of structural problems, but there's plenty of notable info there that would not be terribly difficult to back up with reliable sources. As I mentioned to Ssilvers, some of these city and town articles suffer from numerous problems, but they must be resolved deliberately and carefully. It's not possible to "improve" an entire county's worth of towns in a matter of hours. – Juliancolton | Talk 22:45, 3 February 2020 (UTC)
You make a valid point. Thank you.--TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 22:48, 3 February 2020 (UTC)
