Contested deletion Comment

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because... (your reason here) --Pmccawley (talk) 00:45, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • The widely-accepted spelling of Minahasa uses one "s", not two. The spelling "Minahassa" is very unusual. However, the page may now be wrongly labelled with the "Wikipedia" prefix to the title. I do not know how to remove the "Wikipedia" prefix. It would be best if it could be removed. By way of comparison, see (for example) the following pages on Wikipedia --
Minahasa Regency
North Minahasa Regency
South Minahasa Regency
Southeast Minahasa Regency

I do not object to moving the page to Minahasa Peninsula; just return it to article space. Note to Pmccawley: the deletion request is for this page title, not the peninsula article.--John Cline (talk) 00:53, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you for your fast response. I am a bit embarrassed to admit that I don't know how to change the title page. If this can be fixed up, I would be most grateful. I apologise for not being able to do this. I tried to work it out but I couldn't see how to do it. I think, clearly, that the original mistake was mine. I obviously ticked the wrong box somewhere through the process. It's unsatisfactory, but that's what happened. Pmccawley (talk) 01:04, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome Pmccawley, no worries as mistakes happen. I fixed everything including the restoring of your edit to the earthquake page. Cheers.--John Cline (talk) 01:29, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you. I didn't mean to create this difficulty. Thanks for fixing it. I appreciate your help. Pmccawley (talk) 01:49, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I also meant to say thank you for fixing the earthquake page. I will need to edit it again soon to bring the figures up to date. Sadly, the news is coming in of a rising death toll. I am tracking the reports from the best Indonesian sources that I can find.Pmccawley (talk) 01:59, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
