Center logos not official

[edit]

Since early 2000, NASA Centers have not had any official logo to represent them other than the use of the NASA meatball per several memos from NASA HQ. (see http://www.nasawatch.com/worm/05.31.00.ulrich.html for one example). Since the logos are not official and not in use on anything publicly sent out from NASA, why are they in use on Wikipedia? jtowns 04:49, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good point. I can't find the Ames Research Center in any current PDF documents or in the Ames Research Center press kits. Incidentally, the link you provided is dead and isn't archived, probably due to robots exclusion rules. — QuicksilverT @ 14:08, 22 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Inaccuracies/dated info

[edit]

This page is a little dated. Some of the info is a little serving. The paragraph on image processing ignores work at the USAF and CIA (classified) as well as JPL and else where which was happening at pretty much the same time. In turn, this affects other wikipedia links and pages. And I work here. 198.123.51.153 (talk) 18:16, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

History

[edit]

Suggestion to add a history section. Here are some links I dug up NASA Ames History Office info from History of NASA's Ames Research Center. Here are some archive photos NASA Ames aerial archive photos. More photos on flickr and elsewhere. Some documentaries on Silicon Valley cover early Moffett Field as well. I believe that Moffett Field was originally built as a Naval Air Station (NAS) to support the Naval aircraft the Macon dirigible. (Cengelbart (talk) 17:16, 13 February 2018 (UTC))[reply]

IT

[edit]

There seems to be a mistake with the link after "Human Factors" and before the word "and" in the phrase: "Human Factors,**** and". I'm sorry that I am not qualified to correct it, but perhaps someone, eg the author, knows how to do it, if anyone else is bothered by it. Dawright12 (talk) 11:43, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
