Jayanthi

[edit]

It is totally incorrect that actress Jayanthi won this award for Miss Leelavathi. The article cited conuses this award with the National Karnataka State Film Awards. The first awards in the best actor-actress categories were given in 1968. Please cite more specific sources to verify this claim. ShahidTalk2me 18:45, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

An image used in this article, File:Dimple kapadia 54.jpg, has been nominated for deletion at Wikimedia Commons in the following category: Deletion requests April 2012
What should I do?

Don't panic; a discussion will now take place over on Commons about whether to remove the file. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion, although please review Commons guidelines before doing so.

Citations

[edit]

There is an IP that is constantly re-adding the citations to the table. I intend to take this to WP:FLC and with numerous citations in place a question of copy-vio will definitely arise during the review. Although I agree that a fair usage of quotes add some essence to the article, significant usage constitutes copyvio. Also remember this is being an encyclopedia, the article wouldn't be benefited much from these citations. Vensatry (Ping me) 15:42, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Kangana Ranaut...

[edit]

... has won the award thrice! That she won another award in the supporting category has got nothing to do with this page. ShahidTalk2me 10:49, 29 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion

[edit]

I was just thinking can we seperate the recipients by decades and also add their pitcures. See the recipients section of Filmfare Award for Best Actress for reference. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SGiaNaksh (talkcontribs) 11:14, 25 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm not sure this is a very good idea because, unlike the Filmfare Awards, this page does not provide nominations (as there are none) so this is quite a short list which does not need to be broken down into sections per decades. Also note, this article is a featured list, which means it has been accepted by the WP community as one of the best lists. ShahidTalk2me 14:25, 25 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
