Discrepant Sales Numbers?
[edit]I'm puzzled by the sales number for 2015 (but the problem exists also for earlier years, to a lesser extent).
If you add up the sales of all the manufacturers you get about 163 thousand NEVs, but the total sales for 2015 is quoted as 331 thousand. Where are the missing 167 thousand NEVs? If you're going to include this data shouldn't this discrepancy be explained somewhere? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.173.234.204 (talk) 19:24, 19 July 2016 (UTC)

Please do not use Wuling Hongguang MiniEV as an representation of low-speed vehicles!
[edit]I wish I don't need to repeat this again. Under Chinese regulation standards, Wuling Hongguang MiniEV is a real automobile while low-speed vehicles (nicknamed an "old man's joy") is not. That is why low-speed vehicles are associated with social issues in China because they are not subject to regulations like design and safety features, vehicle registration, a need of driver licences for the operator, etc. A proposed amendment of GB/T 28382 is going to solve this problem but as of June 2024, it has not been approved yet.
