There has got to be a shorter name for this page. I know the UN likes to ram together gigantic titles for things, but this is ridiculous and completely unmanageable. The fact that there are two optional protocols to the CRC makes it difficult to simply call it the optional protocol. Could we call it the Second Optional protocol to the CRC? -Goatchurch 18:19, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
I've improved it a bit by moving it to Second Optional protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child. I think CRC is slightly ambiguous but if someone wants to move it to that I don't mind. -Eraserhead1 <talk> 12:22, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The 'list of countries that are parties to the protocol as of October 2022' is inaccurate. States become a party to the protocol once they have consented to be bound by the treaty, usually by ratification, acceptance, approval, accession etc. Several countries listed as 'parties to the protocol' are signatories but not yet parties - e.g. Cameroon; Ireland; Ghana; Kenya.
