Incorrect company name[edit]

Nowhere in the company web site, or product literature is the company name shown as "Orange Music Electronic Company". This is a made up name. According to the company it is always shown as either "ORANGE" or "Orange Amps". Where did this other name come from? Why was this article mis-named?24.143.109.40 (talk) 08:23, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'd noticed the same thing. I can move it, but I'm not sure if the proper name is actually "Orange Amps," or they're just shortening "Orange Amplifiers," or maybe its "Orange Amplification"... Mbinebri (talk) 23:15, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Just to add, if you try to online register a product you bought, the form uses the name "Orange Music Electronic Company." They do seem to use "Orange Amps" for everything else though, so it might be a common name type of question. Mbinebri (talk) 23:26, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for "moving" or correcting the name of this article. I know of another article name that needs to be changed. The article titled "Magnetic Cartridge" should be renamed "Phono Cartridge". The discussion has been going on for many years but no one has looked into it recently. I think it's time to finally make this correction. Cleanup[edit]

I cleaned the article up a little. ~ Revoranii (talk) 10:47, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Complaint[edit]

Why does someone keep denying me the right to add guitar players who DO use Orange amps to the list of notable players. Notable is relative and so anyone should have the right to add anyone that actually uses Orange amps. - (unsigned)

When they say notable, they mean famous. You should really only add someone if they already have a wikipedia article, or their band does. Not sure exactly who you were trying to add though. ~ Revoranii (talk) 10:47, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Peter Green[edit]

No mention of Peter Green's contribution at the design stage? Orange's early success was helped in a large part by Fleetwood Mac using the amps on tour in the USA. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.120.161.6 (talk) 08:47, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

not really true... the mac did use orange matamps for a while (heard on Albatross) but i doubt peter green had anything to do with 'design'. Also by the time they started touring the US most of the band including Green had switched to Fender amps with Green using a Dual Showman I believe. --IRONY-POLICE (talk) 10:49, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
