Name

[edit]

We're saying Pavel Vranický was later Germanized to Paul Wranitzky, yet the article title has a foot in both camps - Pavel Wranitzky. This surely cannot be correct. -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 19:54, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There are no records of Wranitzky ever writing his name in the Czech form. I would strongly suggest changing to Paul Wranitzky as this is the standard form used both in Musik in Geschichte und Gegenwart and Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians. 109.228.138.16 (talk) 18:22, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yea, we usually follow Grove NC. Eusebeus (talk) 18:45, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I just tried to move it, but it needs an admin. -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 20:09, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Can someone please move this page? Same thing goes for his brother, who according to Grove and MGG spelling should be Anton Wranitzky. 89.233.252.43 (talk) 10:00, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
