Translation[edit]

Sorry to be picky about this, but pradhan does translate as "chief, pre-eminent, first", rather than "grand" or "great" — e.g. pradhan mantri, "prime minister". And it's not a title "usually held by the Army Chief of Staff": the official English translation is "Chief of the Army Staff". See his home page, and this article identifying the pradhan senapati as the Nepali C-in-C. (To clarify — H.M. the King of Nepal holds the office of Supreme Commander-in-Chief.) — Franey 21:43, 28 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I left it like you had it. Just unbolded the second translation as in Wiki articles only the primary article name is normally bolded (although there are countless exceptions, of course). -Husnock 21:45, 28 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect[edit]

I canceled the redirect of this article to the Military of Nepal since it is not common practice to redirect military rank articles to the article about teh said countries military. In addition, this is is a unquie article with ties to special categories about military ranks. I feel it needs to stay here. -Husnock 03:29, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
