[edit]In addition to the ground based pressure vessels that are occupied by humans, virtually all modern jet airliners are also pressure vessels occupied by humans. Ground based and marine pressure vessel are made with steel or other high strength alloys. Airline pressure containment cabins are universally made with aluminum alloy. The pressure de-pressurization cycle on aircraft is one of the main factors on the life span of an aircraft. The ground base steel pressure vessels withstand these cycles much better than the aircraft can and therefore have much longer lifespans. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LawyerAlan49 (talk • contribs) 15:45, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
