Lasertag wiki

[edit]

so now theres a lasertag wiki [1] so if any of you feel like adding articles, or adding stuff to the articles that are already there.. go ahead. 208.58.38.36 (talk) 04:23, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nobody called shooting another player 'tagging' in any of the (UK) areans I've been to. It was just called 'shooting'. Is 'tagging' really the official term?

It's the "politically correct" way to say it in the USA...some parents get concerned that we are training future killers.

The original terms that were used in the US and elswhere were guns and shots or to shoot. However, it just before Q-ZarUSA went public that the terms were changed to be PC and by corporate directive all speech and written material would call the guns - handsets or phasers , while shots and shoot were to become tags and tag respectively. Though all literature carried the PC terms and game martials were required to use them, few rarely did and the terms gun, shoot, and shot stayed in frequent use. Too many lists?

[edit]

It seems like there are too many lists. I'll see about re-writing the huge sections, but if anyone else wants to do it, feel free. ParticleMan 08:12, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Q-Zar History

[edit]

Ive added quite a bit about the history of Q-ZarUSA, Inc. Most of it is from memory, court documents, and memos I still have on file as well as first hand experiance. I dont profess that it is all entirely accurate, especially most of what has happened post bankruptcy. All the information post bankruptcy came from various conversations ive had with my peers at Q-ZarUSA after the collaps and from others that keep an eye on the industry. Page Title

[edit]

If the game was originally called Quasar, and still is in the UK and Ireland, why is the article entitled 'Q-Zar'? Surely it would be more appropriate to rename it to 'Quasar'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.174.233.45 (talk) 07:54, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Italian Official Q-Zar website

[edit]

Hello, someone is trying to delete link of the official web site of the Italian Q-Zar: www.q-zar.it.

Can some administrator provide some protection? Thank you in advance! Comix1986 (talk) 01:57, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User Pnardecchia repeatly revert and remove Italian link. Comix1986 (talk) 18:23, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And Remove repeatly the segnalation that I write in this page!!! Comix1986 (talk) 12:18, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

User Comix1986 is trying to insert his website (not official Q-Zar web site) in the links. Some Administrator should block his actions as soon as possible. I have documents that prove european trademark license of Quasar Manufacturing LTD (Just visit http://oami.europa.eu/CTMOnline/RequestManager/en_SearchBasic and type Q-ZAR) and I could send original documents to any Administrator. We are already legally acting against Comix1986 user. Whenever you like, I would give further informations to prove that Comix1986 is acting against the Law.

Best regards —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.61.46.162 (talk) 15:55, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is not true. I do not know who this is and so I do not have lawsuits in progress. I'm simply a fan of Q-Zar in Italy for over 4 years. The site I intend to leave it there for about tow years, I leave the decision to administrators. Comix1986 (talk) 19:31, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Q2000 system wrong hint insertion

[edit]

Someone is trying to promote Q2000 equipment on Q-Zar wikipedia page, inserting wrong informations in Q-Zar Hystory paragraph. For now and acting as a Q-Zar authorized distributor, I'm going to consider that a simple mistake. Facts like this will not be withstood any more. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pnardecchia (talkcontribs) 18:44, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Australian franchise branch closing

[edit]

According to an official statement on Facebook the Q-Zar Fremantle arena in Perth is scheduled to close on July 25. This will mean an end to their Australian operations which means that it will no longer be at it's city or even country of origin. Considering there doesn't seem to be any reliable sources covering this yet it can't be in the article. But if you contact the local media we should be able to at least get something! I don't want Perth to lose something that was invented there! Barts1a | Talk to me | Yell at me 00:09, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Update requested with WP:CONFLICT

[edit]

Hi Editors.

I was one of the original developers behind Q-Zar, although I presently have no financial interest in the comnpany, however being one of the original designers I have a WP:CONFLICT.

I would like to elaborate on the early history of Q-Zar, however I wanted to ensure that this would be appropiate prior to writing the content.

Could the editors please consider the following updates;

Q-Zar was developed by Perth based electronics business, Omnitronics. The key development staff were Nathan Buzza, Peter Lowe, David Nicholson, Jim Wilcox Alan Parker and Nigel Broadfoot.

The original PC Software was developed by Nathan Buzza in Turbo Pascal, whilst the low level firmware was developed by Peter Lowe on an Motorola 6805 C8 in assmebly language. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nbuzza (talkcontribs) 06:32, 15 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if you're still watching this page (after all, it has been almost 2 years since your comment), but even if you have first-hand knowledge of the history of the company, WP:COI notwithstanding, your facts need to be supported by a reliable source. Per WP:Verifiability: '"Even if you're sure something is true, it must be verifiable before you can add it."' (For what it's worth, I am/was a huge Q-Zar fan and I really miss playing!) -P shadoh (talk) 21:53, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
