Is there a significant probability that this election will not take place at all? – Kaihsu (talk) 22:43, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is likely that the election will take place. However, isn't it a bit too early to create an article for something that is scheduled to take place four years later? --K kc chan (talk) 16:17, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually no, it's done all the time.Etherialemperor (talk) 18:59, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Date[edit]

The source provided for the date does not confirm Jan 14 as the election date, it only says that it is being discussed and decided upon. Should we not change the article as according to article? 147.9.168.94 (talk) 14:18, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

My understanding is that ROC Presidential elections are usually held on the second last Saturday of March. Perhaps some explanation are needed on why this election is pushed up to 14 Jan.Bourquie (talk) 00:37, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Other Candidates[edit]

Aren't there any other parties/candidates that should be mentioned?--Christap (talk) 13:18, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Any other set of candidates would need 250,000 petition signatures to qualify for the ballot. It is my opinion (although only a mild one) that they should be added if and only if they qualify for the ballot. --Nlu (talk) 03:17, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
There is Soon from the PFP. Here a little source. --快樂龍 05:20, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Correct, but as the PFP did not get 5% on the last national ballot, Soong has to qualify by petition just as any other independent candidate. It's likely, but hardly a sure thing, right now that Soong will qualify for the ballot. It is my opinion (but again, mild opinion) that candidates should be added to the article if/when they qualify. --Nlu (talk) 12:03, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed --快樂龍 21:03, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The 3 sets of candidates mentioned here are the only ones that made it to the ballot. – Kaihsu (talk) 20:08, 7 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
