Notability[edit]

To the editor who placed the notablity tab on this article, could you please clarify exacly why it does not meet the guideline? I added references to reviews of Richard Swift, does this not validate the article?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Richie3000 (talkcontribs) 13:48, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

See criteria listed in WP:BAND. I'm not saying that the subject is not notable, only that there are no immediately valid citations which claim that there is. By the way, please remember to sign your comments on talk pages with ~~~~. — Tivedshambo (talk) 14:09, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I added some more external links and some info about Swift's earlier American releases. I hope that helps. Mezza4 09:20, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have taken off the deletion tag and the notability tag as Richard Swift clearly matches the criteria set out in WP:BAND: 1. Has gone on an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one large or medium-sized country, reported in notable and verifiable sources 2.Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels 3.Has been featured in multiple non-trivial published works in reliable and reputable media (pitchfork and drowned in sound are particularly reputable) 4.Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable (see Starflyer 59).
