I'm very interested in adding material from this encyclopedia to Wikipedia. I own a copy of the text. Philip 01:28, 17 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Using Schaff-Herzog Encyclopedia material

[edit]

Due to its public-domain status, the Schaff-Herzog Encyclopedia can be incorporated into any work, including Wikipedia. For more information on doing this, see Template:Schaff-Herzog.

[edit]

I have added individual links to the volumes of this encyclopedia, as there does not appear to be one page the reader can be sent to, to navigate the various volumes. I believe the links should be left until such a page (if it exists) is located.SauliH 19:03, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The same link does not need to be included thirteen times. TOnce is more than enough. JDtalk 19:08, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, before you make any further edits, I advise you to read WP:3RR as any changes you make to the page with regard to the links in question could potentially see you banned from editing either this article or on Wikipedia in general for short period (probably 12-24 hours). I would also ask you read WP:SPAM so you can understand why I and other users disapprove of the number of links you have added. My apologies. I failed to change the URL of each link. Please review these links which have been corrected.

Ah, that looks better. You can go ahead and add those links; I'm assuming they're relevant to the article and that WP:EL says they're okay. JDtalk 19:16, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Unless someone would like to add these links to the page, I am still refraining for 24hrs. I do understand WP:3RR and am refraining from reediting this article for this reason. I appreciate your vote of confidence that I am not spamming.
I do not believe that these links constitute SPAM, as they direct the reader to different volumes of the encyclopedia. If the original link directed the reader to a TOC page at the website I would be ok with that, however a TOC page does not exist, and navigation is extremely difficult.
In my opnion for the said reasons, I also believe that the links are ok with WP:EL.
Editing this page tommorrow, unless someone wants to help me out. SauliH 19:21, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
3RR says that a person cannot revert a page more than three times in 24 hours. This isn't a revert; it's an edit that another user has agreed with. I can understand why you don't want to add the links though, so I'll do it. JDtalk 19:25, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fasting

[edit]

When was the actual day of the crucifixion? On a Wednesday? Did S. Ignatius and two others admit that the ancient custom of fasting on Wednesday originated because it was the actual day of the crucifixion? 107.182.202.36 (talk) 12:24, 18 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
