Clarity[edit]

I find this article and especially the introduction quite confusing, mostly due the current inappropiate focus on the role of the software-author who is mentioned several times instead on the function of the software itself and its application. Tikiwont 10:38, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

After another reread, I see that who is referred to as 'author' seems to be someone using some tools that are called 'Self service software' to built an end-user application for e.g. a terminal. The source of confusion (mine and maybe others) is that the end-user may actually perceive rather this final application as self-service software (cp. Self service), which is on a differnet level than the tools used to create it. Tikiwont 11:11, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
