I changed "Sierra Madre Mountians" to just "Sierra Madre." This change is justified by the fact that the definition of "Sierra" is "noun: 1(especially in Spanish-speaking countries or the western US) a long jagged mountain chain" (see http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/sierra?q=sierra). Referring to them as the Sierra Madre Mountains is equivalent to talking about a "PIN Number" or an "ATM Machine." The only thing I can't figure out how to do is change the title of the article itself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alweiss (talkcontribs) 00:12, 23 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Citations

[edit]

This article badly neeeds citations, and the information presented is almost all unsourced. Citations needed template added until I can find some to add. WeirdNAnnoyed (talk) 19:29, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've spent the past month putting in citations and adding some content. I removed the citation needed template because I think it's fairly well-sourced now. But if there are any editors besides me who visit this page regularly, some double-checking of the sources would be helpful because I've tried to conserve the original wording of the article, and I may have inadvertently created some WP:SYNTH issues with some of the citations.WeirdNAnnoyed (talk) 16:33, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your work on improving the article. Cheers, Adflatusstalk 18:43, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I replaced the photo in the sidebar, since I think the old one just showed the mountains from a distance and didn't give a good impression of the terrain. This new one is better in my opinion. WeirdNAnnoyed (talk) 18:04, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
