Why the US focus?

[edit]

How come an article about a norwegian ship devotes 50% of it's text to the ship's role in US Navy development programs? I personally think this is a very common problem here on Wikipedia, that somehow a lot of articles are given a solid US focus. I'd be grateful if US contributors could keep this in mind when editing. (And if someone knows where this opinion could be posted for greatest possible attention, please post it there...) 85.224.198.251 23:07, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed. I edited them out as the quotes are completely irrelevant.

How about real references???

There are none!

Speed

[edit]

It says on the page that they are the fastest warships in the world, having reached 110 km/h, but the HMCS Bras d'Or reached 117 km/h. Should I change it? King Bananamoo (talk) 02:27, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No,because the HMCS Bras d'Or was cancelled and was never put into active duty. The Skjold class is the fastest warships in active duty today. Mortyman (talk) 20:31, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the Bras d'Or from the lede and replaced it by a time-invariant statement on fastest combat ship at the time of introduction. The removed part for reference:
Although the Skjold-class corvettes are currently the fastest armed craft in the world with 60 knots (110 km/h), the unarmed Canadian Navy high speed patrol craft hydrofoil prototype HMCS Bras d'Or attained speeds of over 63 knots (117 km/h).[1] HMCS Bras d'Or was eventually decommissioned after trials and never put into active fleet duty.

Page update, but unable to update

[edit]

The entire Class is now commissioned, can someone change active number of the class from 3 to 6? Here's a reference page for it. http://mil.no/organisation/equipmentfacts/sea/Pages/default.aspx - Colt9033 (talk) 19:01, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's not a corvette

[edit]

It's a fast patrol boat
