WorkCover changes

[edit]

Can someone please confirm that the only changes to WorkCover are those in Parnell-Bressington filibuster... "injured workers payments would be cut by 10 percent after 13 weeks, 20 percent after 26 weeks, and end workers compensation payments all together after two and a half years, regardless of job prospects". I'm still feeling uneasy, i'm not completely sure I have it right, as different sources seem to state only parts of the changes. I can't seem to find a news article listing the changes in full, the legislation confuses me, and i'm going by a collection of articles saying different things - it almost feels like WP:SYN until I can conclusively say they are the only changes. Issues

[edit]

What is with the references to preference flows in the 2007 fed election doing in the background. Can they be removed? Why is discussion of preference deals a bit non-existent, as these can make quite a difference in marginals and LC. ?? YellowMonkey (vote in the Southern Stars and White Ferns supermodel photo poll) 06:40, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's to show what tendancy of direction preferences tend to flow, based on the fact preferences are compulsory. It does state it was for the fed election. If you can find 2006 state pref flows, then yay! Timeshift (talk) 17:17, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
True, but couldn't it be possibly misleading if the preferencing alliances changed? YellowMonkey (vote in the Southern Stars and White Ferns supermodel photo poll) 01:26, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Would you prefer to rephrase it to something like "x party's preferences tend to favour x major party, with x party's preferences flowing x percent to x major party over the other at the 2007 election"? The percentage doesn't change all that dramatically, usually 5-10 percent either way at most. Timeshift (talk) 08:26, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Possible FAR

No longer a Featured Article - why vote to de-list instead of helping get it back to FA?

[edit]

The title says it all. The article has been delisted as a Featured Article here. It's a pity that editors want to de-list FAs rather than help bring them up to FA state. Does anyone want to help salvage this? Timeshift (talk) 19:46, 25 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
