French Quarter & Lifestyle Center

[edit]

Just as an aside, the French Quarter was tres cool, at least to a young kid. It had an old world street feel, especially with the wine and cheese shop and the "outdoor" dining at DJ's Brassiere. Also, in my humble opinion, Tanglewood should've been torn down a few years ago and replaced by a mixed-use "lifestyle center" with shops, restaurants, offices, apartments/condos, etc. Given the location, it could've become "Downtown Roanoke County".
