Gurgi

[edit]

I wouldn't define Gurgi as a "man-beast". I think most people would interpet him as being humanoidal, but not human. 67.33.129.48 (talk) at 00:06, 18 December 2005

Actually, Gurgi is never referred to anything except "the creature" or "the Gurgi." He isn't described as having particularly anthropomorphic attributes. I don't know where "man-beast" came from, but I believe it should be altered. Oh, and does the article still count as a stub? Hrkool 05:50, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
Fixed to say "humanoid creature" instead of "man-beast". Amalas 15:16, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well he can talk and walk but he isnt smart or anything so he is a huminoid 72.72.118.203 (talk) at 16:17, 31 July 2007

Gurgi, GHER-ghee, is listed in the Prydain Pronunciation Guide, 1999 expanded edition of The Foundling and Other Tales of Prydain‎. --P64 (talk) 16:20, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Horned King

[edit]

Removed the line stating, "We don't know the Horned Kings's name, just that it's far less pretty than the name 'Eilonwy'" (paraphrased). Not remotely encyclopedic.Shining oblivion (talk | contribs) at 22:25, 29 April 2006

First edition cover

Found picture of first edition cover here along with The Black Cauldron. --Glimmer721 talk 01:34, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Uniqueness notes

[edit]
"This is the only time in the series that the companions visit the realm of the Fair Folk, or that Eilonwy attempts sorcery of any kind."

This pair of observations was in the lead paragraph. The matter certainly belongs in coverage of the Fair Folk and Eilonwy, and may somehow belong in this article. --P64 (talk) 16:13, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Assessed as B only as there is an extensive Plot summary, needs far more though. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 10:44, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
