Semi-Protected Edit Request
[edit]I would like this page to be given Semi-Protection status. Given the vitriol towards the game, The Last of Us: Part 2, which this season is partly adapting, and the mass negative edits, on the page for the Silent Hill 2 Remake, I believe pre-emptively adding the Semi-Protected edit status is required, especially if the reviews of the season are positive, as we’ve seen vandalism done to the page of Silent Hill 2 (2024), in the wake of positive reception for the game. For these reasons, I believe Semi-Protected edit status is required for this page AstroAnarchist (talk) 20:28, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- The correct venue to make that request would be WP:RFPP. However, while I appreciate your caution, preemptive protection is generally avoided per WP:PREEMPTIVE. If vandalism occurs, protection will be applied as necessary. – Rhain ☔ (he/him) 21:00, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. I wasn’t aware that Wikipedia had a policy against pre-emptive protection AstroAnarchist (talk) 22:12, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
