Flight Number[edit]

Normally reliable aviation sources (most notably Aviation Herald) reports the flight number as being 257, not 267.

"Indonesia's Ministry of Transport reported the flight number was TGN-257, not TGN-267 as reported earlier, the aircraft involved is PK-YRN. The Ministry advised that the names of the crew members published by the Ministry so far were in error, too. The search for the missing aircraft has been suspended for the night."

(Seems like a fair bit of ongoing confusion so this should be monitored)

Around and about times[edit]

The Accident section states "was scheduled to land in Oksibil at about 15:16", "contact was lost with the aircraft at about 14:55" and "the crew had been expected to make contact with ground staff at Oksibil Airport at around 15:00". Three very vague timings. Crews have been confirmed, along with condition of aircraft.[edit]

Hey about that crew things, I just want to say that all Indonesian media, along with officials from Trigana Air Service and Sentani Airport has confirmed that those are the crew members. They even released the manifest and flying experiences to the media. If you want to know what kind of Indonesian media are reliable, here it is:

About "caring", "humble".. It's relevant you can change that but about obedient and always do procedural checklist before taking off I think it's crucial knowing the pilots of santa barbara 518 didn't do that.

It isn't relevant to state that the airline says the aircraft was in good shape, it is for the investigators to say that. If the investigation shows that there was a fault with the aircraft, then the claim by the airline that the aircraft was in good shape would become relevant. Flight Number again[edit]

Still seems to be some confusion re 257/267, the article body uses 267 but the article is at 257, anybody have a primary reliable source on the flight number? MilborneOne (talk) 07:50, 21 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That was a recent edit which I have just undone. I know it isn't definitive - there could have been a delay - but the airline's flight schedule shows Flight 267 departing at 1220 and arriving at 1310 each day, while Flight 257 departs at 1445 and arrives at 1530. Clean Up[edit]

Hi Folks, I've tried to clean this up by moving information to logical sections aiming to keep stuff objective and focused. Since the article has been protected hopefully work can be a bit more constructive. I've tried to base some of the headers/sections on the AF447 and 4U9525 accident articles.
