Tung Ying-chiehDong Yingjie – The clear majority of recently published sources use "Dong Yingjie" over "Tung Ying-chieh" (394 versus 291). This page should be moved in accordance with WP:NCZH. SilverStar54 (talk) 07:02, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have no objection. If this is done then I volunteer to edit for consistency, converting this and all the many other Wade-Giles names in the article to Hanyu Pinyin, while preserving mention of the Wade-Giles versions when also in common use. This is especially important because some members of this person's family in the US and elsewhere spell their surname "Tung", and he and his associates are still widely known by the Wade-Giles versions of their names. But other descendants do spell their name "Dong". Jōkepedia (talk) 14:43, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good. Regardless of whether a move is made or not, the article should mention both spellings for the reasons you mentioned. SilverStar54 (talk) 18:21, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
