Plagiarism

[edit]

It seems like this article was originally copied from the All Music Guide entry and then further edited--I'm not sure how much of it to delete.--P4k 06:55, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jesus delete it all, who the hell wrote this. "Their portion of detroit techno's cultural influence" just speak english and say "their music." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.192.245.253 (talk) 06:40, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Accuracy

[edit]

Please forgive me if I'm doing this wrong, it's been a long time since I've used this. I wanted to bring attention to the third paragraph which states, "...UR's subversively 'militant' approach to music was related to the activities of the Black Panthers in the 1970s, something Mills confirmed in an interview." and references this. Only...that's not what he's saying. He's referencing the fact that the events of the 1970's, which the Black Panthers were significant, would naturally be referenced in the music, given that the events of that time period affected almost every black male in the US, either overtly or passively. He's not saying that the group or label was "subversively militant" in any way. That's more the editor's interpretation of what it means to say what Mills said, so we're dealing with opinion more than anything else. I'd recommend deleting that paragraph. 98.243.10.98 (talk) 06:22, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
