CGI used to complete scenes?

[edit]

I remember quite distinctly seeing parts of this movie being used to demonstrate advances in SFX, by taking John Candy from one shot and placing him against a different background (the matter was complicated because he was holding a transparent bottle at the time). It seems to me this would be worthy of note, although the article says that all of his scenes were completed before his death. Does anyone have more info? David 20:07, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wagons East!Wagons East – Although publicity literature, including posters, such as the one appended in the film's infobox, depict an exclamation point, the opening credits of the film, itself, show no exclamation, as indicated in the lead sentence of Wagons East Wikipedia article. This has happened with publicity for other films. See Talk:The Damned Don't Cry#Requested move 24 June 2017. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 20:08, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nom and IMBD (although we're not supposed to use it as a source). Doesn't mean I'm correct. The name seems to have been popularized with the exclamation point, but with films and most artwork I'm a stickler for original names, and the people involved in the film - its original creators - named the film without the exclamation point. So I'll go along with you on this and leave it to others to offer the legitimate points on the sourcing side. Randy Kryn (talk) 21:51, 4 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. Since the film's opening credits were mentioned in the nomination, it may be also added that at the end of its lengthy closing credits, the words WAGONS EAST appear on the screen — likewise, no exclamation point. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 01:40, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. The exclamation point seems optional. bd2412 T 02:24, 11 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
