Speedy Deletion
[edit]I am still working on this article. It is interesting that within a few moments of its creation that it got tagged. I guess I'll keep my new articles in my sandbox until they're ready for publication.
This particular breed has had much research in the area of weight gain and growth. I'm looking into several articles to cite in that regard. --BlindEagletalk~contribs 16:01, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
- It was tagged so quickly because it is a copyright violation. Ironholds (talk) 16:05, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
- Per your request to "hangon", I've temporarily changed it to "proposed deletion", but please rewrite the copied sentences right away (or else copy the article to your own computer); we have to delete copyright violations quickly to comply with DMCA and other copyright laws. - Dank (formerly Dank55) (push to talk) 16:13, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
I've gone ahead and reworked the article. I've removed a lot of contraband material and worked in other snippets from articles I've been reviewing. It should be good to go as a stub now. Let me know if you disagree. --BlindEagletalk~contribs 18:19, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
Proposed merge of Djallonké sheep into West African Dwarf sheep
[edit]The page is a recent content fork of this article. I'm not sure how much of the content is actually mergeable, that remains to be seen, but we can't have two pages on the same sheep. Once the merger is complete, the page should probably be moved to Djallonké, as that seems to be the name predominantly used for this breed/breed group. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:23, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
- Actually there are not 2 but 3 pages. Most of accurate content is on the Djallonké page. From both pages Cameroon sheep and West African Dwarf sheep not much is mergeable. KAMK1 20:23, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
- Comment: I rather object to the approach taken by KAMK1 on this issue. S/he recently created the page for Djallonké sheep as an obvious WP:CFORK apparently to avoid a WP:RM such as s/he tried and failed to achieve at Talk:West African Dwarf goats#Requested move 18 June 2020. I have absolutely no feeling on the merits on the proposed title but this is effectively a WP:RM discussion and should be addressed together with the goat article. —Brigade Piron (talk) 14:43, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
