Pronunciation: /ɯ/ or /ə/?

[edit]

According to this article, the pronunciation of the "ӹ" character is the close back unrounded vowel /ɯ/, but according to the phonology section of the article of the Mari language, it is the mid central vowel (schwa) /ə/. The first source in the Bibliography of that article appears to back up the schwa pronunciation, but I can't be sure since it's in Finnish. Vimitsu (talk) 01:13, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

For the time being I've changed it to the mid central vowel /ə/, since this is the only one from the source I can access. Vimitsu (talk) 21:29, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
