Hi I’m guessing that ‘back advertising’ is a direct translation of a Korean phrase but I’ve never heard it in English and I don’t think most en.wiki readers will understand the term or search for it. My suggestion is to move the article to the title “2020 Korean YouTube Influencer Marketing Scandal”. Thanks Mccapra (talk) 06:40, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've never heard of the term either, so it's probably a more Korean or eastern Asian term. I can agree that we should probably rename the article to "2020 Korean YouTube marketing scandal" or something of the like. In addition it looks like this article may have been written from either another article or by someone who may not be as fluent in English, so maybe some cleanup is necessary. Good points, I should've caught that earlier. This source [1] is calling it the "Paid advertisement controversy"; this one just "advertisement controversy", this mentions it is known in Korean as the "backdoor advertising" controversy, and the term backdoor appears in few other English(y) sources: [2], [3], [4]. This term is more clear, although some Konglish writers do inf act use "back advertising" [5], [6], [7]. YouTuber back advertisement controversy in Korea in 20202020 Korean YouTube backdoor advertising controversy – See above, the current title is not well-formatted and the term "back advertising" is likely wrong or at least unclear/Konglishy. No objections to tweaking my proposed title even further. Two alternatives proposed above include 2020 Korean YouTube influencer marketing scandal and 2020 Korean YouTube marketing scandal.   • Support per nom. Proposed title would be a much more standard title format. The year should go first ("YYYY event" over "Event in YYYY"), and "backdoor advertising" is clearer than "back advertisement". Paintspot Infez (talk) 18:06, 25 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. As stated earlier this term may be more localized and does not reflect the general understanding of the controversy. My friend Piotrus has stated that the current title is not well-formatted and several sources have made different titles for the controversy.
