Insufficient progress toward resolving outstanding issues

Death of Ayakannu Marithamuthu[edit]

Moved to mainspace by Bonkers The Clown (talk). Self nominated at 14:11, 30 October 2013 (UTC).

  • Nominated on the same day it was moved into the article namespace, and has about 5.4kB of text, which satisfies length and date criteria. A QPQ review was done (that DYK requires a second review). The first sentence of the "murder" section gives a date, but I cannot find that date in the source provided. The month and year are stated in the second source, but not the day. There is a link to S/O, which redirects to the disambiguation page SO; please link to the appropriate page. I am assuming good faith for the sources I cannot access (and found a few others here). The hook is misleading, as "distributed" could suggest the plastic bags were given to others for consumption. Please provide an alternate hook that makes clear the plastic bags were placed in refuse bins. Other than these minor issues, the article is good to go. Mindmatrix 00:17, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Comment: One of the other sources contained the date; I've added a citation to it. Mindmatrix 00:24, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
  • As far as I can see there is no page for "Son of" so I just unlinked it to save more trouble. Tweaked hook. All good now? Cheers, ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 10:55, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Yep. Good to go. Mindmatrix 15:46, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
  • There's no point in reviewing anything without a valid, BLP-friendly hook. If one isn't proposed in the next few days, the nomination will need to be closed. (The original one cannot be resurrected.) BlueMoonset (talk) 00:56, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Thanks for highlighting this, BlueMoonset! I'll see what I can do. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 03:38, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
  • It's been over a week, and no valid, BLP-friendly hook has been proposed. Absent a hook, the nomination is being closed as unsuccessful. BlueMoonset (talk) 19:09, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
