  • Copyvio check looks good. Long enough. A rough check of the expansion is pretty close, within about 200 characters of being 5x expanded, but still over the line. Everything seems well enough sourced. The hook isn't the most flashy thing I've ever seen, but it's not the worst hook either. Overall, I'm good with it. GMGtalk 15:02, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
  • I came to promote, but I think this hook is likely to be challenged over C6: If the subject is a work of fiction or a fictional character, the hook must involve the real world in some way at Wikipedia:Did you know/Supplementary guidelines. Can we find an alternate hook? --valereee (talk) 12:00, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
Ohh, thank you for flagging that, Valereee, I wasn't aware. Let me see if I can find anything to add to the entry about the novel's development that would make a good hook. Innisfree987 (talk) 20:34, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
I think Valereee has misinterpreted the C6 rule; the hook makes it quite clear we are talking about a character in a book here. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:00, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
Due apologies Cwmhiraeth, but it does appear that the hook does not meet C6, as it's talking about a plot point and the hook fails to connect it to the real world in some manner. Velereee's interpretation is correct. Thus, I've struck the original hook, and a new one is required. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 08:46, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
  • @Innisfree987: Please propose a new hook, thanks. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 03:00, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
  • The nominator replied to a message I left on their talk page, saying that they are no longer willing to continue the nomination due to a lack of time to expand the article. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:07, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
Narutolovehinata5, just to be clear I didn’t say I wasn’t willing. In fact I have been working on it but did not expect to finish by the deadline you set of...tomorrow. Not clear to me why that is the deadline. I just said that if it is, then I can’t meet it. Innisfree987 (talk) 03:12, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
The reason for that was because you had been pinged several times prior without a response. With that said, I did have a hook in mind based on the current content, so I'll post it here if it's okay with you:
ALT2 ... that Ottessa Moshfegh's second novel My Year of Rest and Relaxation was originally planned to focus on the September 11 attacks?
There could be modifications or additions to the wording (such as combining with the original hooks that mentioned the plot, or mentioning that she consulted a terrorism analysis for the novel), but that could be a start for a new direction. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 03:24, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
Narutolovehinata5, thanks for that hook suggestion. Sounds like this bit is not clear enough in the entry so I'll fix it, but as the book went a different way, she actually did not end up speaking to Bremer, and I was a bit stuck on, well, an interview she did not conduct is not a great hook. Hence looking for more research materials. But the original real-life basis planned for the book makes an interesting hook on its own, I think. Works for me if it works for you. Thanks again. • Dangit. Thanks valereee. That bit totally slipped my mind. The alt hook above is fine. I reread the article a few times and a few of the sources trying to find some better suggestion, but I haven't come up with one. GMGtalk 12:38, 17 July 2019 (UTC)
  • Since no one has follow up with this, I'll just go ahead and . GMGtalk 14:46, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
